To analyze a painting, it is necessery to consider some criterions.
We are able to assemble these under the two headline as of esthetic analyzing and criticism. Two methods are available for analyzing a painting's esthetic point of view. The first one is analyzing the artwork’s iconographic point of view and the other one is analyzing its technique. As for art work criticism, this assembles under two headlines: comment and dissection. The point I want to emphasize that it is necessary to revise essential criteria in order to analyze the esthetic point of view of an artwork. First due for analyzing esthetic point of view is to do an iconographic expansion while including the art work’s identity information. These are artist name, artwork’s name, artwork’s date, artwork’s topic, artwork's school or periodic features, artwork’s technique, artwork’s size, artwork’s which standing collection or museum. As for analyzing the esthetic point of view, we must examine our composition’s variety, fiction that display in surface linear organisation, so take into account balance, direction, form, color and light while basic plastic element’s and principle. This paper’s topic is, all of these criteria will be taken into account in analyzing the esthetic point of view of Rembrant Harmenszoon Van Rijn’s painting “The Campany of Captain Frans Banning Cocq” a.k.a "The Night Watch".
