Romanticism that started in late 18th century and continued until mid 19th century, appeared as a response to unilateral rationalism of the Age of
Enlightment while at the same time rationalism was feeding it.
The nostalgia that started to be felt by artists of Romanticist period following the French revolution encouraged the artist to draw his eyes to his inner world as a result of the failure to reach the future promised by the revolution.
Time lived in the past and the time that wanted to be lived in the past (time being missed) is being lived again recalling it from the memory. This is some kind of escape, continuing from the Romanticism to the present. Past and future repulse each other, this is called the moment. The moment “now “ which is the point of past and future are pushing each other is the starting point of my studies. Focusing on the past, now and future trio’s linear and simultaneous layout which accords transparent views of this trio, making “slight moment”
